Yes, they use whatever flex gives them the best results. Most of the time they’re X flexes. There are plenty of really high quality shafts that are graphite now.

He actually talks a lot of sense. If you watch the top pros in slow motion, the hips and hands are ahead of the ball and all the power they generate goes down into the ball. The ball has then gone on its way before the club head takes the divot. This is how you hit long solid iron shots.
DONT LISTEN TO ALL THIS STUFF. here is the truth…….[1] you need to hit all iron shots off the ground at a grass range…….[2] only ONLY think about the intention ie. ball too target………..[3] your swing WILL over time fall into line with your intention………….as soon as you start THINKING about the swing you have stoped thinking about the only important thing BALL TOO TARGET. it takes time but if you keep that one thought in mind with every shot, your swing WILL develope naturaly.
