Perils of the Lost Jungle: A Miniature Golf Adventure

Who knew I’d do another miniature golf course so soon? This one is actually not too far from where I live. In early September 2008, Bob and I set out to play what is billed as one of the top five miniature golf courses in the world. Think Indiana Jones goes putting. In fact, the Raiders of the Lost Ark theme plays throughout most of the course. It was silly fun, with animatronic explorers trying to scare you off, including one that looked suspiciously like Humphrey Bogart. There were killer bees, spiders, crocodiles, and natives with blow darts. The renegade monkeys swung over head at one of the holes. One monkey stayed back at the tree house drinking over and over again from a liquor bottle. At one point, Tarzan comes flying over on a zip line, only to reverse and slam into a palm tree. As usual, Bob beat me at the game. He takes these things pretty seriously. He figured out how to read the lie of the green, while I just took photos and video, and swung wildly whenever it was my turn. But I have the photos and video to prove it.

This is the best course that The Putting Penguin has ever played! #1 out of the 118 we’ve visited in the past 10 years.

where is this located? looks cool
I LOVE this place, it’s so over the top. It’s way better at night though.
The lizard was pretty realistic looking, if nothing else was.
